Introduction
Forward and Backwards Scheduling allows individual Jobs to be scheduled at the same time using both Forward Scheduling and Backwards Scheduling.
The Tasks within these Jobs will then all be displayed on the same Schedule regardless of the way the Jobs have been scheduled.
To set up Forward and Backward Scheduling see Set Up Forward / Backward Scheduling.
Empower Time Track always has a default Scheduling Type of either Forward or Backward (depending on what has been set in Tools > Settings) but this can be over ridden on a Job by Job basis.
For example - imagine a Job number 12345
- if the default Scheduling Type is Backward then all Jobs will be scheduled Backwards. But if Job Number 12345 is set up to be Scheduled Forwards then it will be scheduled Forwards and be shown on the same Schedule as all the other Backwards Scheduled Jobs - to see how to do this see Using Backwards Scheduling.
- if the default Scheduling Type is Forward then all Jobs will be scheduled Forwards. But if Job Number 12345 is set up to be Scheduled Backwards then it will be scheduled Backwards and be shown on the same Schedule as all the other Forwards Scheduled Jobs - to see how to do this see Using Forward Scheduling.
There is no limit on the number of Jobs that can be Scheduled in this way.
To view your Schedule in an outlook style calendar format see View Schedule. Tasks can be dragged from day to day in these reports.
