Time Card Parameters
Empower can be set up to handle overtime rates. These act as an input into various reports - see below for the detail of which reports are affected.
To set up the over time rates,
1. From the main menu go to Set Up > Advanced Set Up > Time Card.
You should see a page similar to

Three rates are allowed
- Overtime 1 - this equates to time and a half - ie every hour worked will be calculated as 1.5 hours
- Overtime 2 - this equates to double time - ie every hour worked will be calculated as 2 hours.
2. Select the day and enter the Regular Time, Overtime 1 and Overtime 2 values as highlighted below.
3. Now click on Add. You should see something similar to

4. What this means is that in the various reports mentioned below, on each Monday, the first 8 hours worked for each Employee will be at regular time, the next 2 hours will be at time and a half and thereafter will be at double time.
5. Continue adding in times for your company - if you make a mistake simply click on Edit to Edit it, or Delete to delete the row. Once finished you should see something like

6. This information is used as an input to the reports at
- Reports > Employee > Hours Worked > Time Card Analysis
- Reports > Employee > Hours Worked > Time Card Analysis (Leave Separated)
- Reports > Jobs > Values > All Job Costs Including OT - Summary, and
- Reports > Jobs > Values > All Job Costs Including OT - Details.
