Kanban Cards
Kanban - also known as 'The Toyota Way' or the 'Toyota Production System' (in the US it is called Lean Manufacturing) originated at Toyota in the 1950s.
Kanban is a Japanese word that roughly translates to 'card you can see'.
Toyota introduced Kanban to manage the flow of parts in Just In Time production line manufacturing.
The principles of Kanban are designed to increase productivity, and reduce waste, idle time and work in progress through the use of visual cards.
Empower provides the ability to create and print Kanban cards at Reports > Jobs > Kanban.
