New Purchase Order


Empower Materials allows for Purchase Orders.


 Before raising a Purchase Order see Before Using Purchase Orders.


To raise a Purchase Order, from the Main Menu go to Purchase Order > New.


You should see a page similar to


     



Select a Supplier from the drop down Supplier box (highlighted above).

Click on the Create button.

Enter a Job number if appropriate - this can be blank e.g. for consumables or where you don't have a Job number as yet.

Select the Material from the drop down box and enter the Quantity to Order.  Then click on Add. 


You should see a page similar to

   


Note the Purchase Order Number (highlighted above - in this case number aaa48).



To send the Purchase Order now click on Place PO button

Clicking on Hold PO will place this PO on hold.  Later editing the Purchase Order you will have the option to Place the Purchase Order.


After clicking the Place PO button, If the Supplier has been set up to print Purchase orders in Setting Up Suppliers the Purchase Order will display ready to print.


If the Supplier has been set up to email Purchase orders in 
Setting Up Suppliers the Purchase Order will prompt for. 

  • file attachments (e.g. files such as drawings or specification you wish to attach to the Purchase Order.  You can have an unlimited number of attachments to a total limit of 20Mb (including the Purchase Order)

  • a text box where you can add text (e.g. Kind Regards) and a file as part of your signature (eg your company logo). 



If emailed, the Purchase Order and any attachments will be sent to




  • any email address specified in the Purchase Orders Emails copied to field in Tools > Settings.  For more information see Introduction to Purchase Orders

  • the email address you have specified in your User Login will also be copied.  For more information see Adding a User.
