Empower security and systems have been audited serveral times by independent US based security experts with all recommendations implemented wherever possible
Empower uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) which is an industry standard security technology used by millions of websites around the world to establish an encrypted link between your browser and Empower. This means that all communication between your browser and Empower is encrypted so all data remains private. You should ensure that all Empower application website addresses start with https:// and in many browsers there should be a padlock security symbol in your browser similar to
If you are concerned about whether you are logging into Empower, you should type in account.empowersoftware.co.nz into your browser.
Never log in to Empower from a link from an email or other electronic message.
If someone purporting to be from Empower calls you, and you do not recognize them, you should hang up and immediately call Empower back on Empower's land line at New Zealand 09 307 1115 for verification.
Empower will never ask you for your Empower login password.
If you do not recognize the voice of any person purporting to be from Empower asking for access, your password, or any other details do not supply it.
Never supply your password in response to an email or any other type of electronic request.
