Adding Material to a Job in Management


From within the Management version there are three ways of adding Materials to a Job.


1. The first way is to add Materials that have been specifically purchased for that Job by raising a New Purchase Order
.

     Once a Purchase Order has been raised,  the Material will be delivered. 



    To update your stock control that Material should be added to the Job it was specifically ordered for.



     It is possible to do this from the Job > Edit and the Job > View pages.


     For illustrative purposes we will use the Job > View Page - the Job > Edit page is very similar.


     You should see a page similar to

      
 


      Click on Material Ordered (see highlighted above).

      You should see a page similar to


   
 



    Select a Material, Quantity Provided, packing slip and either 

  • click on Receive, in which case quantity received will be removed from Quantity On Order and added to the Quantity In Stock, or
  • click on Provide, in which case the quantity and cost will be added as a cost of the Job.
 
   Note that clicking on Receive All or Provide All will Receive or Provide all the Material lines.






2.  The Second way is to add Material from Stock.


     It is possible to do this from the Job > Edit and the Job > View pages.


     For illustrative purposes we will use the Job > View Page - the Job > Edit page is very similar.


     You should see a page similar to

 
      Click on Material Provided (see highlighted above).

      You should see a page similar to


 





     Select the Material Name and Code and the Quantity Provided and click Add.




3.  The third way is to add all the Material attached to a Product to the Job.

     To do this firstly ensure you have attached the required Materials to the Product - see Attaching Materials to a Product.

     Then in either the Edit Job or New Job page click on the Provide Materials for the appropriate Product (see highlighted below).

It is possible to edit the Quantity To Provide and the Cost or Remove the material entirely.

Once the Provide Button (see highlighted above) is clicked all the material listed will be provided to the Job - see below.
