Using Tablets and Phones

Any sort of device that has an internet connection can be used with Empower, including PCs, laptops, smart TVs, touch screens, phones and tablets.

Phones and tablets (and some touch screens) however are different from traditional PCs and laptops in that they don't have a physical keyboard.

As a result the keyboard can sometimes hide buttons on the page, particularly in the factory version.

As an example - below is a screen shot of a typical tablet running the factory version.

 
  
The issue is that the virtual keyboard will rise up from the bottom of the page and hide the buttons highlighted above.

Empower has a setting that moves these buttons up the page so that they stay visible and are not hidden by the keyboard (see an example below).

  




To switch this on, in the Management version, from the main menu, select Tools > Options.

Note that this is a system wide setting that will apply to all factory versions (not just phones and tablets).



Ensure that the Time Sheet tab is selected and click on Advanced (see highlighted below).

  
Scroll down to Move Factory Buttons Up (see below) and ensure it is switched on.
