Required By Dates

When entering Jobs with Required By Dates, Empower Scheduling can automatically check to see if your Schedule allows that date to be met.

And if it cant be met, Empower Scheduling will display a warning message.

For example imagine you have a Schedule set up that requires Assembly Tasks to be started 5 days before the Required By Date - see below as an example

This means a lead time of four days for Products in the Factory Product Group.

For more information on setting up a Schedule - see Add New Schedule.

So if a Job is entered, or edited, or dragged and dropped in the Job > Jobs Due Each Weeks pages and the lead time is less than four days, a warning message will display as below

This functionality is turned off by default.  To enable it, from the Management Main Menu go to Tools > Settings and select the Job Tab (as highlighted below)

Clicking the Advanced button displays a number of additional advanced settings

Ensure the Check If Job Required By Date Can Be Met is set to on (as shown below).

Note that only an Administrator can alter this setting.
